This beautiful leisurely self-drive takes approximately 4.5 to 5 hours return, including morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea stops.
The first part takes you through the Yarraman state forest, and continues to meander through until you meet the bitumen that leads you into a small town of Maidenwell.
From here you head down to the Coomba Falls where you can enjoy some morning tea, take the walk down to the gorge, and maybe have a quick dip in the water.
The trip then continues on, up to the Bunya mountains, where you can have a picnic lunch or buy something at one of the cafes and enjoy the local wildlife, in particular copious numbers of wallabies.
After lunch, its back down the mountain, heading to Cooyar, and visit the Swinging Bridge.
After a quick stretch of the legs and a trek across the swinging bridge, its time to head back to Blackbutt show grounds.
This trip includes some forest trails, dirt roads, and some bitumen, and is well suited to all types of 4wd including soft roaders.
